A place to watch airplanes at Will Rogers World Airport in Oklahoma City. The newly opened OKC airport public observation mezzanine has been open since late 2021. A mezzanine level where non-ticketed visitors have views of the airfield and parts of the airside terminal. It's a great place to lounge while waiting on an arrival or seeing someone off at the airport. You can even wave at people airside from the mezzanine.

For plane spotting, from the mezzanine you can see two of the runways. They are a little bit far in the distance. The best view of the planes is when they taxi by the gates. Mostly it's a nice place to lounge and get that happy feeling of being at the airport.

How to get there & amenities
It's easy to access. From the departure hall, just take the stairs or elevator up to the mezzanine level. See the pictures in the gallery below. There are TVs displaying all the departures and arrivals information and there are lots of outlets to charge devices. It's definitely a comfortable place to hang out or even do some work.
The only downside, there are no restaurants or shops where you can grab a drink or snack. All the businesses are airside only at OKC airport. Keep that in mind when you are thinking about spending time at the airport as a non-passenger.
All in all, it's a nice place to hang out at the airport. It's especially great to see more public friendly spaces at airports especially for plane spotters and aviation fans.
Until the next departure!
