If you're looking for a secluded and picturesque cabin right in the middle of the Rocky Mountains, you'll love the Hygge Chalet! The Hygge Chalet in Colorado is a very popular A-Frame Cabin in the middle of the Rocky Mountains in Colorado. Located at 9,000 Ft, this secluded cabin is perfect for a getaway in the mountains. This picturesque Airbnb cabin is inspired by Scandinavian design and the Danish concept of hygge. The cabin has 2 bedrooms and one bathroom. A great place to stay for 2 people, or 4 people max. Pretty special is the Norwegian gas fireplace inside and the outdoor Finnish barrel steam sauna. It's like a mini Scandinavian style retreat in the Rocky Mountains!

The cabin comes with a fully equipped kitchen. (Check out the picture gallery below to see what is all inside the cabinets) There's a hot chocolate & coffee station, I-Pad with Netflix, tons of board games, books, oil diffuser with essential oils, and everything you need for the sauna. You'll have to bring your own food and drinks, but as a nice welcome from the host, there is a small basket with snacks.
Meal tip
Tip: If you're staying at the Hygge and don't feel like cooking, or want to go out for a meal or drinks, just across the main road there's this little restaurant called "Shaggy Sheep". A cute little mountain cookhouse. They offer lunch, dinner, drinks, and take & bake meals. These take & bake meals are perfect to take back to the cabin! Important note > check Shaggy Sheep's opening hours! They are open only a few days a week and close earlier than most restaurants. For example in the winter (November through April), they are open Thursday through Sunday only and close at 8PM. I made that mistake and had to miss out on having dinner there...
Environment friendly
When you stay at the Hygge Chalet you'll notice that Airbnb superhost Julie Anne cares about the environment. It is kindly asked to put what can be recycled in the recycle bin and to be mindful of water usage. You'll also notice that the complimentary toiletries and the cleaning supplies around the house are mostly natural and environment friendly.
Scenic Drive
The Hygge Chalet is near the famous Guanella Pass. Worth checking out!
Another scenic drive that's on the way to the cabin, is the drive from Woodland Park (near Colorado Springs) to Grant, Colorado. It's mostly mountain terrain with lots of sharp narrow turns, different elevations, and part of it also takes you along the Platte River and the Gudy Gaskill Bridge. Such a fun route to drive! To sum it all up, the Hygge Chalet is a great place to stay. It's a wonderful place to retreat right in the middle of nature surrounded by mountains. Having your own personal sauna is an incredible perk and so is the location. You're near beautiful hiking trails and near the Guanella Pass; a high mountain pass in central Colorado. It's the perfect place to come back to while exploring the Rocky Mountains.
