Travel tip: If you're a big foodie, check out the Albert Cuypmarkt in Amsterdam not far from the Foodhallen. One of the largest daytime street markets in Europe! Delicious seafood, antpasto, fresh stroopwafels, and so much more.
One of my favorite stands is the Ballenbar. A fancy twist to a Dutch classic > bitterballen. Michelin star chef Peter Gast and his Souschef Jeroen Elijzen serve bitterballen with the finest ingredients. Order their tasting platter and try five different delicious flavors. Beef, Bouillabaisse, Thom-Kah-Kai, Spinach-Aged Cheese, and Truffle bitterballen. See gallery below for pictures.
The Rough Kitchen: BBQ-world-champion Jord Althuizen and culinary journalist Marcus Polman offer delicious BBQ in The Netherlands. One of their specialties: pulled pork.
Shirkhan: Chef Hariprasad Shetty offers Mumbai streetfood with authentic Indian flavors and tandoori cookery. The delicious and distinct taste and smells of the food will take you straight to Mumbai.
