Cape Coral Canals - Boating Paradise in Florida

Did you know Cape Coral has more canals than Venice in Italy? Cape Coral actually has more canals than any other city in the world! Pretty amazing, isn't it? The best way to see Cape Coral is from the water. Sailing through the canals is a very relaxing and fun experience. The beautiful nature, the amazing waterfront homes, and all the boats and yachts are a sight to see!

Cape Coral is a boating paradise with more than 400 miles of canals and easy access to the Gulf of Mexico. It's easy to sail to Ft Myers Beach, Sanibel island, Captiva island and more places from Cape Coral. It's the ideal location for a boating vacation or lifestyle.

Chiquita Lock & Cape Harbour

The Chiquita lock is the gateway between the downtown Cape Coral canals and the Calooshatchee River which leads into the Gulf of Mexico. Right by the Chiquita lock, there is a place to fuel up the boat and there's a fantastic restaurant called Rumrunners. An ideal place to fuel up and have a meal before heading out to the Gulf!

The Chiquita lock is located right by Cape Harbour. Cape Harbour is Southwest Florida’s premiere Gulf access community. It has a beautiful marina and there are restaurants, shops, and wonderful waterfront homes and condos. One of the most recent real estate properties are the Funky Fish Houses. These colorful modern beach house style homes really catch your eye when you sail by Cape Harbour. Have a look at these Funky Fish Houses and Cape Harbour's marina by checking out my TWD video. Watch it on YouTube or scroll down to the bottom of this article.

There are many places you can dock your boat and eat lunch or dock and spend some time at Ft Myers Beach or Sanibel island for example. It's hard to describe into words how beautiful the canals are so check out my TWD videos below and see for yourself!
